Styles came in and took over and went for a Styles Clash on Priest, but Priest fought free and sent him through the ropes Balor help open.ĭominik distracted Rey on the floor and Ripley wiped him out with a clothesline, which set up Styles to take a Coup de Grace from Balor for a Judgement Day win.Īfter the match, Rey apologized to Styles but Styles told him he needed him and shoved him down. Rey kept the pace going against Priest, but Priest took back control and Balor came in to hit a Three Amigos. Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik remember the storyline where Rey and Eddie Guerrero would battle for the custody of Dominik. The Judgement Day (Damian priest, Finn Balor) w/Rhea Ripley, Dominik MysterioĪ quick brawl ensued and Rey took out Balor with a sliding leg scissors and Styles nailed Priest with a forearm over the top rope as we headed to commercial. When Balor turned his attention to running down AJ Styles, he and Rey Mysterio came out.
Looks like they’re playing up Eddie Guerrero’s old storyline where he and Rey fought over Dominik. The Judgement Day came out and Priest, then Balor ripped into Edge and how Balor will do him a favor by beating him so bad he’ll say “I quit.” Without further ado, let’s get to the action!
This was an incredible encounter, but they didn’t have as much. Mysterio recently opened up about that match on WWE The Bump. However, he didn’t want to raise Dominik and let Rey Mysterio and Angie raise him instead. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio met at WCW Halloween Havoc in 1997. From that affair, Dominik Mysterio was born. As per the storyline, Guerrero had an extramarital relationship during his marriage. Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one with plenty of action as we get ready for Extreme Rules. WWE had booked the late Superstar Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio in an absurd storyline which fans still scoff at.
